Say the Word Reading Series
I’m thrilled to co-organize (with Sandy Yang) and host a quarterly reading series - Say the Word - at the Venice Public Library. Our goal is to create a sense of community among writers and audiences from different spheres of the Los Angeles literary community and beyond, bringing together established authors with less known but incredibly talented writers whose voices we feel deserve to be heard. To stay updated on our upcoming events, follow our Facebook page: Say the Word Readings. We look forward to seeing you there! UPDATE: We are currently on hiatus due to the pandemic, and hope to bring back the series once it is safe!
Recently Published Work
So honored to have my story “Horse” included in the Spring/Summer 2019 issue of Ecotone: Issue 27.
My story “Quiet Guest” was selected by judge Kate Bernheimer for the annual The Masters Review VIII anthology to be published in January 2020. More information here: The Masters Review.
I hope you’ll consider reading and subscribing to these - and other - independent literary journals that are doing such important work.
